Design for projects from the Holcomb Bridge Road Corridor Study, possibly including reconstruction of the bridges or ramps at the GA-400 interchange at Holcomb Bridge Road. Roswell has partnered with GDOT to help provide TSPLOST funding for the Holcomb Bridge Road interchange within Roswell as part of their GA-400 Express Lane project. The funding is being used to fund additional improvements and have GDOT reconstruct the existing interchange at Holcomb Bridge Road. In summer of 2021, GDOT announced they would be revisiting their GA-400 Express Lane project's schedule as construction bids at that time were not accepted. As this project is tied to GDOT's project timeline, Roswell is continuing to coordinate with GDOT on their plans moving forward regarding their GA-400 Express Lane project. This project is the anticipated replacement of weight-restricted bridge on Old Holcomb Bridge Road bridge over Big Creek. This project's scope has been merged into the work scope of the Big Creek Parkway project. Construction along Old Holcomb Bridge Road (as part of the Big Creek Parkway project) is anticipated to begin in 2022. Reconstruction of SR 9 from the Chattahoochee River north to Historic Roswell Square at SR 120 / Marietta Highway with new connections to the National Park Service Vickery Creek Unit. The project will remove the old reversible lane signal system and add one new lane in the off-peak direction so the roadway will have two lanes in each direction at all times. The project will new roundabouts and grade separate the intersection of SR 9 and Riverside Road / Azalea Drive. The majority of the roadway project is being funded by Federal and State funds from GDOT. Funding spent may include funds paid to contractors/consultants or indicate encumbered funds set aside for future payments. GDOT is currently doing right-of-way acquisition on the project. Redesign of the intersection of Oxbo Road and SR 9 creating a full intersection and adding a new traffic signal. The new intersection will be rebuilt just south of the existing SR 9 at Oxbo Road intersection. The project also extends Oxbo Road west to connect directly to Mimosa Blvd which provides connectivity. The project also will link Oxbo Road to Pleasant Hill Street and Elm Streets. Funding spent may include funds paid to contractors/consultants or indicate encumbered funds set aside for future payments. view top 100 |
