Neighborhood Quality - Tall Weeds and Grass Violations

This dataset provides information about all Neighborhood Quality code enforcement open and closed cases along with their associated inspections, violations, and status information. All Neighborhood Quality data is collected and reported from the Neighborhood Quality code enforcement office. Neighborhood Quality code enforcement’s mission is to maintain and strengthen neighborhood standards. The City of Norfolk’s approach to code enforcement is to use all tools to achieve compliance. These tools include educating civic leagues, citizens, and the public in understanding the scope of enforcement. Other tools are working with homeowners to help establish timelines for projects, and legal steps for abatement. This data entered will reflect that workflow of a responsive customer-oriented organization using tools to accomplish compliance. This web-based tool consolidates entry of Code Enforcement cases to one central application in correspondence with this initiative. All codes cited are from the city of Norfolk’s Codes Chapter 25 which covers Vehicle and Property and Chapter 27 which covers nuisances.
