The dataset provides at a location level, the number of funded Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts (PKC) and Head Start Supplemental Assistance Program (HSSAP) slots. The dataset begins in program year 2014-15 and will be updated quarterly to reflect the current program year funding.

Full Day Funded Slotsfull_day_funded_slotsnumberSlots equate to the number of funded enrollments within either the PA PKC or the HSSAP grant. PKC data can be captured at the full-day (5 hours or more) a day 5 days a week. HSSAP only capture the number children funded. HSSAP funding models vary in accordance to the acceptable models acknowledged by the Head Start Performance Standards and can operate less than 5 days a week as well as full day or part day and home visits. A blank field means that the location did not receive funding during this program year in any form. A '0' in the field indicates “either full-day or part-day slots were not funded” at this location in the designated program year for PA PKC or are not able to be differentiated for HSSAP.
