Advanced Messaging Concept Development Basic Mobility Control Message
datahub.transportation.gov | Last Updated 13 May 2024Contains all Basic Mobility Control Message (BMCMs) generated during the Advanced Messaging Concept Development (AMCD) field testing program. While there is no specific standard in existence that addresses the content of a BMCM, the following format was derived to control the configuration and content of BMMs requested from the vehicle. All BMCMs are generated by the VCC Cloud server and transmitted to OBU clients through either a DSRC or cellular communications channel.
This dataset has the following 16 columns:
Column Name | API Column Name | Data Type | Description | Sample Values |
---|---|---|---|---|
Message ID | message_id | number | : BMMs are sent from the OBU packed into a container message that can contain up to four separate data snapshots. This is the ID of the container message that contained the BMM as it was transmitted to the server. | 38 1 37 39 52 view top 100 |
Time Sent | time_sent | number | The time at which the message was sent from the VCC Cloud server to the OBU in milliseconds UTC time. | 1479238898852 1479260079078 1479260379090 1479259960752 1479259201062 view top 100 |
OBU ID | obu_id | number | The ID of the OBU that received the message for the current communication sequence. | 27 37 21 86 32 view top 100 |
Time Received | time_received | text | The time at which the message was received by the OBU in milliseconds UTC time. Empty | view top 100 |
Mode of Transmission | mode_of_transmission | number | An indication of which mode of transmission was used to transmit the message (DSRC or Cellular). If received via DSRC: 1 through 114 = The ID of the RSU used to forward the message to the server If received via cellular: 999999 = Cellular | 87 88 89 90 91 view top 100 |
Requested BMM Data | requested_bmm_data | text | The status of all possible BMM data element request flags.
