Age-Adjusted Death Rates for Selected Leading Causes: 2005 - 2021
opendata.howardcountymd.gov | Last Updated 8 Nov 2023This data set includes age-adjusted death rates as published by the Vital Statistics Administration, Maryland Department of Health for both Maryland and Howard County. The rates are adjusted to the 2000 U.S. standard population by the direct method and are calculated per 100,000 population. Single year age-adjusted rates are available for the five (5) leading causes of death in Howard County for 2020 - Heart Diseases, Malignant Neoplasms (Cancer), COVID-19, Cerebrovascular Diseases, and Accidents; and for leading causes of death in 2021.
