The primary goal of this dataset is to provide users timely information about local influenza activity throughout the current influenza season. Although each influenza season is unique, historical data is also provided for trend comparison. Cases reported during the CDC-defined influenza surveillance season (week 40-week 20 of the next calendar year; October through mid-May) are included.
