Library Active Users Statistics

This dataset contains information about Norfolk Public Library active users by month starting in July 2016. This information will be updated annually. Active users include users whose accounts have had any activity during the previous three years including card renewal, fines added, payments made, or computer usage. This dataset is updated monthly.

Enterprise Zones

Enterprise Zones. Zone III originated in 1995 with a 20-year time-span. This zone primarily covered areas in the Downtown area and commercial and industrial properties north of the James River and west of I-95. At that time a portion of residential parcels was included. Eight (8) years later, Henrico County and the City of Richmond applied for a Joint Zone (connecting at Broad Street and Brook Road). At that time, the original 20-year zone time was retained. The Joint Zone (Zone III/formerly North Zone) had a sunset date of December 31, 2014. In 2012, Henrico County contacted the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) requesting that they be allowed 20 years for Zone III as a joint zone resulting in a sunset date of December 31, 2022. At the end of 2014, both the City and Henrico County applied for a Redesignation of Zone III from DHCD; the Redesignation application was approved in January of 2015 by the Virginia Commonwealth resulting in an extension of Zone III for both the City and Henrico County. The official sunset date was set at December 31, 2022. Contentwise, the Redesignated Zone III encompasses the commercial and industrial areas north of the James River including and west of I-95. Also, commercial corridors north of the James River and east of I-95 are included as well as Shockoe Bottom. Lastly, the Hull Street and Hull Street Road Corridors, Belt Boulevard between Hull Street Road and Midlothian Turnpike and Midlothian Turnpike corridor between the City line and Belt Boulevard are incorporated.

Crime incidents and offenses reported by the Richmond Police Department. *Note: Each report only counts the top crime offense, so it may differ from NIBRS/DOJ count and published Crime-Stat reports on the RPD website (for example, if 1 incident report had multiple offenses occur, only the first/top offense is counted in this).

Address Information

The Address Information Resource is a compilation of information related to active and pending addresses in the City of Norfolk. It provides a consolidated source to allow for quick and easy access to information about an address including details related to school districts, municipal services, planning, public safety, and civic leadership. It is one of the main data resources that provides content for the Norfolk AIR website (https://air.norfolk.gov/#/).

LEHD LODES 7 Origin-Destination Matrix VA 2013 (MAIN)

LEHD Origin-Destination Employment Statistics (LODES) used by OnTheMap are available for download below. Version 7 of LODES was enumerated by 2010 census blocks. Previous versions of LODES were enumerated with 2000 census blocks. Data files are state-based and organized into three types: Origin-Destination (OD), Residence Area Characteristics (RAC), and Workplace Area Characteristics (WAC), all at census block geographic detail. Data is available for most states for the years 2002–2013. Water Quality Sampling Data

Data collected to assess water quality conditions in the natural creeks, aquifers and lakes in the Austin area. This is raw data, provided directly from our Water Resources Monitoring database (WRM) and should be considered provisional. Data may or may not have been reviewed by project staff. A map of site locations can be found by searching for LOCATION.WRM_SAMPLE_SITES; you may then use those WRM_SITE_IDs to filter in this dataset using the field SAMPLE_SITE_NO.
