Penn Cove Entrance Buoy Raw Data Output - Surface

This is a raw and uncorrected dataset from the surface buoy at the entrance to Penn Cove. This data has not been reviewed or corrected in any manner. It should be used with extreme caution as uncorrected data may lead to misinterpretation. These anomalies occur as a result of naturally occurring phenomena. Corrected data will be available at a future date. Special time considerations: Date and times have PST timezone applied. Time does not change with daylight savings. Geography: The mooring is located at Latitude 48.237 and Longitude -122.655 ***Disclaimer*** Marine mooring data provided by King County -- including meteorological and water quality data --are preliminary and have not received final approval. Most data are relayed by satellite or other telemetry and may have received little or no review. Inaccuracies in the data may be present because of instrument malfunctions or physical changes at the measurement site. Subsequent review may result in significant revisions to the data. Data users are cautioned to consider carefully the provisional nature of the information before using it for decisions that concern personal or public safety or the conduct of business that involves substantial monetary or operational consequences. Environmental Radiation Surveillance Nine Mile Point and James A Fitzpatrick Readings: Beginning 2009

This dataset measures the air, water, milk, fish, sediment, fruit/veg, and vegetation at Nine Mile Point and James A Fitzpatrick and other locations(background) around NYS to determine the normal levels of radioactivity and monitors the influence of human activities on these levels. The site numbers represent the location from which samples are collected. This dataset is not designed, or intended to monitor releases from discharge points at a specific facility (e.g., a stack). The facility operator performs this type of monitoring to meet the requirements of its licensing agency (e.g., a federal agency or the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation). A column has been added for values which can be graphed. Readings where a less than value is displayed show a value that is less than the detection limit of the measurement method and are essentially equivalent to 0. Variations in detection limit are due to variations in sample collection and measurement instrument performance.

Baseline Study of Food for Peace Title II Development Food Assistance Program in Niger-- Household Sanitation and Maternal Health

This dataset captures data about the mothers in the households surveyed as part of the Baseline Study of Food for Peace Title II Development Food Assistance Program in the Maradi and Zinder regions in Niger as well as the water and sanitation resources available to the household. It has 200 columns and 7,337 rows. In fiscal year 2012, USAID's Office of Food for Peace (FFP) awarded funding to private voluntary organizations (PVOs) to design and implement a multi-year Title II development food assistance program in Niger. The main purpose of the Title II program is to improve long-term food security of chronically food insecure population in the target regions. FFP contracted a firm, ICF International to conduct a baseline study in targeted areas of the country prior to the start of the new program. The purpose of the study was to assess the current status of key indicators, have a better understanding of prevailing conditions and perceptions of the population in the implementation areas, and serve as a point of comparison for future final evaluations. Results would also be used to further refine program targeting and, where possible, to understand the relationship between variables to inform program design. The study was conducted in 2013, while FFP expects to conduct final evaluations as close as possible to the end of the program five years later.
