Minnesota Department of Transportation Mobile Observation
datahub.transportation.gov | Last Updated 2024-05-20T17:23:29.000ZThese data files were obtained from Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) under the Integrated Mobile Observation (IMO) contract. The instrumented vehicles include snowplows (made by Sterling and International) and light-duty pickups (made by Ford). The snowplows travel pre-determined routes in 12-hour shifts during winter-weather events, carrying out winter-maintenance activities appropriate for the event and MnDOT rules of practice (snow-plowing, applying chemicals, etc.). The light-duty vehicles travel throughout the state. Data from May 2013 onward is included. The files include VaiX records, DjX records, CanX records, ObdY records, vehicle location and status and store-and-forward messages.

Tampa CV Pilot Basic Safety Message (BSM) Sample
datahub.transportation.gov | Last Updated 2024-05-01T01:04:45.000ZThe Tampa CV Pilot generates data from the interaction between vehicles and between vehicles and infrastructure. This dataset consists of Basic Safety Messages (BSMs) generated by participant and public transportation vehicles onboard units (OBU) and transmitted to road-side units (RSU) located throughout the Tampa CV Pilot Study area. The full set of raw, BSM data from Tampa CV Pilot can be found in the <a href="http://usdot-its-cvpilot-publicdata.s3.amazonaws.com/index.html" target="_blank" >ITS Sandbox</a>. The data fields follow SAE J2735 and J2945/1 standards and adopted units of measure. This dataset holds a flattened sample of the BSM data from Tampa CV Pilot. An extra geo column (coreData_position) was added to this dataset to allow for mapping of the geocoded BSM data within Socrata, and a column of random numbers (randomNum) was added to allow for random sampling of data points within Socrata.

The data will be maintained in a "National 9-1-1 Profile Database." One of the objectives of the National 9-1-1 Program is to develop, collect, and disseminate information concerning practices, procedures, and technology used in the implementation of E9 1 1 services and to support 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) and related state and local public safety agencies for 9 1 1 deployment and operations. The National 9-1-1 profile database can be used to follow the progress of 9-1-1 authorities in enhancing their existing systems and implementing next-generation networks for more advanced systems.
