Budget - 2019 Budget Recommendations - Positions and Salaries - Chart

The dataset is excerpted from the 2019 Budget Recommendations, which is the line-item budget proposed by the Mayor to the City Council for approval. Disclaimer: the “Total Budgeted Unit” column displays either A) the number of employees AND vacancies associated with a given position, or B) the number of budgeted units (ie. hours/months) for that position. “Position Control” determines whether Total Budgeted Units column will count employees and vacancies or hours/months. If a Position Control is 1, then employees and vacancies are displayed; if a Position Control is 0, then the total number of hours/months recorded is displayed. This dataset follows the format of the equivalent datasets from past years except that Section Code and Division Code have changed from Number to Text in order to accommodate non-numeric values. Building Code Scofflaw List - Map
data.cityofchicago.org | Last Updated 2024-08-31T23:33:40.000ZThe Chicago Building Scofflaw Ordinance (Section 2-92-416 of the Municipal Code of Chicago) is designed to prevent landlords that refuse or refrain from correcting ongoing building code violations from receiving city contracts, including those that subsidize housing. Building owners must have a least three residential buildings with uncorrected violations and have had three or more properties referred to Circuit Court within the applicable 12 month period to be eligible for the list. The building code scofflaw list is updated once a year on the first business day of December, and building owners may appeal being named on the list. Building owners with controlling interest in at least three residential properties that have habitual, extensive or serioues building code violations are now ineligible for any new city contracts in 2015. The following individuals or entities have been placed on the Building Code Scofflaw list for the entire calendar year.

The Department of Streets and Sanitation investigates and remedies reported violations of Chicago’s sanitation code. Residents may request service for violations such as overflowing dumpsters and garbage in the alley. 311 sometimes receives duplicate sanitation code complaints. Requests that have been labeled as duplicates are in the same geographic area as a previous request and have been entered into 311’s Customer Service Request (CSR) system at around the same time. Duplicate complaints are labeled as such in the status field, as either "Open - Dup" or "Completed - Dup."
