The number of charges are defined by the calendar year. The dataset includes the following offences under the Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Act: MVA 100D Cellphone distracted driving; MVA 101 - Failing to drive or operate vehicle at a careful and prudent speed for existing conditions; MVA 103(3) Passing a school bus with red lights flashing; MVA 106A - Exceeding speed limit; MVA 106B - Exceeding speed limit in temporary work area or proximity to emergency vehicle; MVA 106E - Exceeding speed limit when driving by stopped emergency vehicle; and, MVA 163 - Racing, parade or sporting event (racing/stunting)

Invest Nova Scotia is driven by generating financial returns on its fund, and also seeks to leverage its deals with other venture capital and angel co-investors, attracting new capital and expertise for the region. In order to ensure that effective and positive international government relations are developed and maintained, the Nova Scotia Department of Intergovernmental Affairs has been mandated to foster and promote intergovernmental /international relations globally. Developing and enhancing meaningful intergovernmental/international relationships is an incremental process. Intergovernmental/international relations can be achieved through a number of primary activities: out-bound trade and business missions; incoming trade and business missions; and Nova Scotia government to foreign government/foreign business promotion. Mission reports are a key accounting of government activity and reflect the various specific events and key follow up activities.
