Trade Waste Hauler Licensees
data.cityofnewyork.us | Last Updated 2024-07-12T19:33:28.000ZCompanies listed as of the most recent export date have been issued trade waste removal licenses by the Business Integrity Commission and, therefore, are authorized to collect and remove all types of trade waste covered by Local Law 42 of 1996. This data is collected on the entities that apply with the commission to operate as Licensees. Each record represents an entity that is approved to operate in the City of New York by the Commission. The Application Type field denotes the class of application 'License' noting the type of applicant which is a Licensee. They are able to pickup all trade waste from various businesses throughout the city. The BIC Number field is unique to every company that applies to the Commission.

Land Cover Raster Data (2017) – 6in Resolution
data.cityofnewyork.us | Last Updated 2022-09-23T19:23:03.000ZA 6-in resolution 8-class land cover dataset derived from the 2017 Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) data capture. This dataset was developed as part of an updated urban tree canopy assessment and therefore represents a ''top-down" mapping perspective in which tree canopy overhanging features is assigned to the tree canopy class. The eight land cover classes mapped were: (1) Tree Canopy, (2) Grass\Shrubs, (3) Bare Soil, (4) Water, (5) Buildings, (6) Roads, (7) Other Impervious, and (8) Railroads. The primary sources used to derive this land cover layer were 2017 LiDAR (1-ft post spacing) and 2016 4-band orthoimagery (0.5-ft resolution). Cool It! NYC 2020 - Cooling Sites

NYC, a Citywide plan to increase the amount of cooling features available to the public during heat emergencies, particularly in neighborhoods that face the dangers of high heat. This is part of the Cool It! NYC 2020 Data Collection, which includes the following amenities: Drinking Fountains: Indicates whether a drinking fountain is activated, not yet activated, broken, or under construction. Spray Showers: Indicates whether a spray shower installed before July 2020 is activated, not yet activated, broken, or under construction. At this time, spray showers are mapped to the middle of parks. Cooling Sites: To measure neighborhoods that are the most at risk during extreme heat, NYC Health and Columbia University developed the New York City Heat Vulnerability Index, or HVI. Parks used this data to direct new cooling elements to neighborhoods with HVIs of 4 and 5.
