The data below describes the impacts of COVID-19 on the residents and staff of Long Term Care Facilities licensed by the State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), including Skilled Nursing Facilities (nursing homes); Adult Family Homes and Assisted Living Facilities. Cases and deaths are also occurring in other forms of senior housing not licensed by DSHS, including subsidized housing for people age 50+, Permanent Supportive Housing, and naturally occurring retirement communities (NORCs) and among people with disabilities living in Supportive Living Facilities (also licensed by DSHS).

The phone calls include an explanation of isolation and quarantine guidelines, how to get testing and support services, and collecting information that helps Public Health's infection control programs.

The program is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the State of Washington, and supplies vaccines to providers across the state. Most public and private health care providers who immunize children in King County are currently enrolled.
