Deflection Data
opendata.utah.gov | Last Updated 2020-06-19T21:09:51.000ZThis historical collection of data contains pavement elements collected by UDOT's Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD). It is a static dataset containing: Resilient Modulus - The Falling Weight Deflection (FWD) testing was used to characterize the subgrade support and the Resilient Modulus (Mr) was estimated. This is a material property for the strength of the ground under the pavement used in pavement design. Technically the Mr is a lab determined value from tri axial texting depending on the soil sample density and moisture content. The FWD testing provides an Elastic Modulus (E). The Mr is then predicted with a correlation value. Structural Number - The Falling Weight Deflection (FWD) testing was used to determine the pavement strength and a Structural Number (SN) was estimated. This is an AASHTO pavement design parameter where the traffic loads provided a required SN. The thickness for each of the pavement layers could then be optimized to meet this strength need. 2006 Load Transfer Efficiency - The department used our Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) to test the load transfer efficiency (LTE) between the concrete slabs for the jointed concrete pavement that was constructed without dowel bars. A load was placed one side of the joint, the deflections were measured on both sides and the ratio was used to determine the LTE. Good aggregate interlock is important for supporting the loads as they cross from slab to slab. This is a static dataset.

Utah BLM Monuments and NCAs Historic
opendata.utah.gov | Last Updated 2020-03-20T15:43:45.000ZThis feature class includes Cooperative Management and Protection Areas, Forest Reserves, National Conservation Areas, National Monuments, and Outstanding Natural Areas. Descriptions of each type of polygon found in this feature class can be found on Page 21 of the National Landscape Conservation System (NLCS) Implementation Guidelines (Version 1.1). The Bureau of Land Management's National Conservation Lands include 19 national monuments in nine western states. These national monuments encompass landscapes of tremendous beauty and diversity, ranging from rugged California coastline to vividly-hued desert canyons. The Antiquities Act of 1906 grants the President authority to designate national monuments in order to protect “objects of historic or scientific interest.” National conservation areas (NCAs) and similarly designated lands are designated by Congress to conserve, protect, enhance, and manage public lands for the benefit and enjoyment of present and future generations. The Bureau of Land Management's National Conservation Lands include 16 NCAs and five similarly designated lands in ten states. These lands feature exceptional scientific, cultural, ecological, historical, and recreational values. They differ tremendously in landscape and size, varying from the coastal beauty of California's 18-acre Piedras Blancas Light Station Outstanding Natural Area to the rugged desert vistas of Nevada's 1.2 million acre Black Rock Desert-High Rock Canyon Emigrant Trails NCA.

The Emery County Public Lands Management Act also known as S.47 - John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management and Recreation Act, was signed by President Donald J. Trump and became Public Law No: 116-9 on March 12, 2019. According to CONGRESS.GOV (https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/senate-bill/47), "This bill sets forth provisions regarding various programs, projects, activities and studies for the management and conservation of natural resources on federal lands." Conservation Reserve Program Acre Contract Expirations By County Utah 2015-2029.xlsx
opendata.utah.gov | Last Updated 2019-04-19T09:24:05.000ZUnited States Department of Agriculture Conservation Reserve Program acres by County in Utah for 2015-2029. The Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) is a cost-share and rental payment program under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and is administered by the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA). NRCS's natural resources conservation programs help people reduce soil erosion, enhance water supplies with groundwater recharge, improve water quality, increase wildlife habitat, and reduce damages caused by floods and other natural disasters. The CRP encourages farmers to convert highly erodible cropland or other environmentally sensitive acreage to vegetative cover, such as cultivated or native bunch grasses and grasslands, wildlife and pollinators food and shelter plantings, windbreak and shade trees, filter and buffer strips, grassed waterways, and riparian buffers.

The data has been provided by SWCA Environmental Consultants on 08/19/2014. The Conservation Agreement "has been developed to expedite conservation measures needed for the long-term persistence and recovery of these species." The agencies involved in the Conservation agreement include the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the Public Lands Policy Coordination Office (PLPCO), the School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration (SITLA), Uintah County, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (UDWR).

Rare Earth Element Biomining from the Great Salt Lake Brine Using Engineered E. Coli
opendata.utah.gov | Last Updated 2020-02-06T15:22:39.000ZThis data describes rare earth element adsorption onto E. coli cells engineered to express a lanthanide binding tag (LBT). We used a Great Salt Lake synthetic solution as the background matrix with Tb added to 1-10,000 ppb, concentrations much lower than the competing ions present. Our results showed that Tb binds to LBT, even in the presence of high concentrations of competing metals. We also tested REE adsorption at elevated temperatures (up to 100 degrees Celsius), and observed that Tb adsorption increases with temperature of to 70 degrees Celsius, and then remains constant until 100 degrees Celsius. Data analyses were performed using an ICP-MS at UCSC.

Utah Correctional Facilities
opendata.utah.gov | Last Updated 2020-03-20T15:43:13.000Z<div><div><div><p>Jails and Prisons (Correctional Institutions). The Jails and Prisons sub-layer is part of the Emergency Law Enforcement Sector and the Critical Infrastructure Category. A Jail or Prison consists of any facility or location where individuals are regularly and lawfully detained against their will. This includes Federal and State prisons, local jails, and juvenile detention facilities, as well as law enforcement temporary holding facilities. Work camps, including camps operated seasonally, are included if they otherwise meet the definition. A Federal Prison is a facility operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons for the incarceration of individuals. A State Prison is a facility operated by a state, commonwealth, or territory of the US for the incarceration of individuals for a term usually longer than 1 year. A Juvenile Detention Facility is a facility for the incarceration of those who have not yet reached the age of majority (usually 18 years). A Local Jail is a locally administered facility that holds inmates beyond arraignment (usually 72 hours) and is staffed by municipal or county employees. A temporary holding facility, sometimes referred to as a "police lock up" or "drunk tank", is a facility used to detain people prior to arraignment. Locations that are administrative offices only are excluded from the dataset. This definition of Jails is consistent with that used by the Department of Justice (DOJ) in their "National Jail Census", with the exception of "temporary holding facilities", which the DOJ excludes. Locations which function primarily as law enforcement offices are included in this dataset if they have holding cells. AGRC has made a concerted effort to include all correctional institutions. </p><p>This dataset is comprised completely of license free data. </p><p>Records with "-DOD" appended to the end of the [NAME] value are located on a military base, as defined by the Defense Installation Spatial Data Infrastructure (DISDI) military installations and military range boundaries. </p><p>"#" and "*" characters were automatically removed from standard fields that TGS populated.
