Dig Ticket Notifications - Last Member Transmissions
data.cityofchicago.org | Last Updated 2024-06-20T09:20:17.000ZIn order to help contractors and private residents avoid existing utility lines (including gas, electrical, and water lines) when digging, the Chicago Department of Transportation maintains 811 Chicago, a free, 24-hour service to private contractors and homeowners in Chicago. Anyone planning to dig within Chicago must obtain a “dig ticket” from 811 Chicago. 811 Chicago notifies all utilities of the impending excavations. The utility owners then send out staff to mark the location of the underground facilities within 48 hours (excluding emergencies), not counting Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. The dataset on which this filtered view is based shows these utility notifications. Since it is common for the same dig ticket to produce multiple notifications, the same dig ticket will appear multiple times and the dataset cannot be used without further refinement to count, map, or analyze unique excavations in Chicago. This filtered view shows only the most recent notification for each utility. It, therefore, removes some of the duplication in the dataset but still will produce multiple records per dig ticket if multiple utilities have been notified. See https://ipi.cityofchicago.org/Digger for more information on the dig ticket system.

Ordinance Violations
data.cityofchicago.org | Last Updated 2024-06-20T11:38:17.000ZNote: For questions related to a specific violation or code requirements, please contact the department that issued the violation notice. For questions regarding the hearings process, a hearing date, or a hearing disposition, please contact the Department of Administrative Hearings. Contact information can be found under "Government" at the top of https://www.chicago.gov. For questions related to using the dataset, please use the Contact Dataset Owner button below. List of ordinance violations filed with the Department of Administrative Hearings. This data set reflects violations brought before the Chicago Department of Administrative Hearings. It does not reflect violations brought before the Circuit Court of Cook County. Each row of data represents a unique violation. Multiple violations may be associated with a single case. The most recent status of the case is shown in the dataset and is updated daily. Hearing date corresponds to the date of the most recent hearing. Each case often consists of multiple hearings and may encounter continuances due to various circumstances before a final disposition is rendered. The case disposition, date of the disposition, and any applicable fines and administrative costs are listed when the case is fully completed. The latest hearing status or disposition reflects the condition of the property at that time and may not reflect the current condition of the property. When multiple respondents are cited, each respondent is separated by a pipe ("|") character. Respondents sometimes are added to cases for technical legal reasons so are not necessarily the parties believed to have committed the violations. This dataset currently lists violations issued by the Department of Buildings. Additional ordinance violations will be added over time. Therefore, it is advisable to use the department-specific filtered view listed under the More Views button for purposes that require only one department's violations.

Beach Swim Advisories
data.cityofchicago.org | Last Updated 2024-06-20T15:00:16.000ZThis dataset is historical-only. A similar dataset starting in 2017 can be found at https://data.cityofchicago.org/d/xvsz-3xcj -- The Chicago Park District issues swim advisories at beaches along Chicago's Lake Michigan lakefront based on predicted E. coli levels. This dataset shows the predictions and whether a swim advisory was issued due to the predicted E. coli level being at least 235 Colony Forming Units (CFU) per 100 ml of water. The data used to make the predictions can be found in https://data.cityofchicago.org/d/qmqz-2xku and https://data.cityofchicago.org/d/k7hf-8y75. CDPH Environmental Records Lookup Table
data.cityofchicago.org | Last Updated 2024-06-19T11:42:00.000ZThis dataset serves as a lookup table to determine if environmental records exist in a Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) environmental dataset for a given address. Data fields requiring description are detailed below. MAPPED LOCATION: Contains the address, city, state and latitude/longitude coordinates of the facility. In instances where the facility address is a range, the lower number (the value in the “Street Number From” column) is used. For example, for the range address 1000-1005 S Wabash Ave, the Mapped Location would be 1000 S Wabash Ave. The latitude/longitude coordinate is determined through the Chicago Open Data Portal’s geocoding process. Addresses that fail to geocode are assigned the coordinates 41.88415000022252°, -87.63241000012124°.This coordinate is located approximately just south of the intersection of W Randolph and N LaSalle. COMPLAINTS: A ‘Y’ indicates that one or more records exist in the CDPH Environmental Complaints dataset. NESHAPS & DEMOLITON NOTICES: A ‘Y’ indicates that one or more records exist in the CDPH Asbestos and Demolition Notification dataset. ENFORCEMENT: A ‘Y’ indicates that one or more records exist in the CDPH Environmental Enforcement dataset. INSPECTIONS: A ‘Y’ indicates that one or more records exist in the CDPH Environmental Inspections dataset. PERMITS: A ‘Y’ indicates that one or more records exist in the CDPH Environmental Permits dataset. TANKS: A ‘Y’ indicates that one or more records exist in the CDPH Storage Tanks dataset. Each 'Y' is a clickable link that will download the corresponding records in CSV format.
