Assessor [Archived 05-11-2022] - Property Locations
datacatalog.cookcountyil.gov | Last Updated 2022-05-11T15:57:48.000ZThis data set includes property locations and attached spatial data for all Cook County parcels. Spatial matching was based on parcel centroids. Older properties may be missing latitude and longitude data because they are not contained in the most recent parcel shape layer. Brand new properties may be missing a mailing/property address because the postal service has not yet assigned the property an address. Data attached to each PIN is the most recent available. For example, Census tract data is drawn from the 2014-2018 5-year American Community Survey. The code and sources used to construct this data can be located on GitLab. See data notes for link.

COVID-19 Cases, Tests, and Deaths by ZIP Code - Historical
data.cityofchicago.org | Last Updated 2024-05-23T20:44:46.000ZNOTE: This dataset has been retired and marked as historical-only. Only Chicago residents are included based on the home ZIP Code as provided by the medical provider. If a ZIP was missing or was not valid, it is displayed as "Unknown". Cases with a positive molecular (PCR) or antigen test are included in this dataset. Cases are counted based on the week the test specimen was collected. For privacy reasons, until a ZIP Code reaches five cumulative cases, both the weekly and cumulative case counts will be blank. Therefore, summing the “Cases - Weekly” column is not a reliable way to determine case totals. Deaths are those that have occurred among cases based on the week of death. For tests, each test is counted once, based on the week the test specimen was collected. Tests performed prior to 3/1/2020 are not included. Test counts include multiple tests for the same person (a change made on 10/29/2020). PCR and antigen tests reported to Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) through electronic lab reporting are included. Electronic lab reporting has taken time to onboard and testing availability has shifted over time, so these counts are likely an underestimate of community infection. The “Percent Tested Positive” columns are calculated by dividing the number of positive tests by the number of total tests . Because of the data limitations for the Tests columns, such as persons being tested multiple times as a requirement for employment, these percentages may vary in either direction from the actual disease prevalence in the ZIP Code. All data are provisional and subject to change. Information is updated as additional details are received. To compare ZIP Codes to Chicago Community Areas, please see http://data.cmap.illinois.gov/opendata/uploads/CKAN/NONCENSUS/ADMINISTRATIVE_POLITICAL_BOUNDARIES/CCAzip.pdf. Both ZIP Codes and Community Areas are also geographic datasets on this data portal. Assessor - Parcel Sales
datacatalog.cookcountyil.gov | Last Updated 2024-09-01T05:32:03.000Z<b>Update 10/31/2023:</b> Sales are no longer filtered out of this data set based on deed type, sale price, or recency of sale for a given PIN with the same price. If users wish to recreate the former filtering schema they should set <i>sale_filter_same_sale_within_365</i>, <i>sale_filter_less_than_10k</i>, and <i>sale_filter_deed_type</i> to False. Parcel sales for real property in Cook County, from 1999 to present. The Assessor's Office uses this data in its modeling to estimate the fair market value of unsold properties. When working with Parcel Index Numbers (PINs) make sure to zero-pad them to 14 digits. Some datasets may lose leading zeros for PINs when downloaded. Sale document numbers correspond to those of the Cook County Clerk, and can be used on the <a href="https://ccrd.cookcountyclerkil.gov/i2/default.aspx">Clerk's website</a> to find more information about each sale. NOTE: These sales <i>are</i> filtered, but likely include non-arms-length transactions - sales less than $10,000 along with quit claims, executor deeds, beneficial interests are excluded. While the Data Department will upload what it has access to monthly, sales are reported on a lag, with many records not populating until months after their official recording date. Current property class codes, their levels of assessment, and descriptions can be found <a href="https://prodassets.cookcountyassessor.com/s3fs-public/form_documents/classcode.pdf">on the Assessor's website</a>. Note that class codes details can change across time.
