Lead Testing in School Drinking Water Sampling and Results Compliance Year 2016

This dataset shows the school drinking water lead sampling and results information reported by each NYS public school and Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) for Compliance Year 2016. Public Health Law (Section 110) and New York State (NYS) Department of Health regulation (10 NYCRR 67-4) mandate that NYS public school districts and (BOCES) test drinking water for lead contamination and report the results to parents, the NYS Department of Health, NY State Education Department, and local health departments. The regulation required school districts and BOCES complete their sampling by the Fall of 2016, and test again in 2020 and at least every five years thereafter or at an earlier time as determined by the Commissioner of Health. U.S. Life Expectancy at Birth by State and Census Tract - 2010-2015

This dataset includes estimates of U.S. life expectancy at birth by state and census tract for the period 2010-2015 (1). Estimates were produced for 65,662 census tracts, covering the District of Columbia (D.C.) and all states, excluding Maine and Wisconsin, representing 88.7% of all U.S. census tracts (see notes). These estimates are the result of the collaborative project, “U.S. Small-area Life Expectancy Estimates Project (USALEEP),” between the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), the National Association for Public Health Statistics and Information Systems (NAPHSIS), and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) (2).

Iowa Family Investment Program Recipients and Grants by Month and County

The Family Investment Program (FIP) is Iowa's Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) program. FIP provides cash assistance to needy families, as they become self-supporting so children may be cared for in their own homes or in the homes of relatives. Data are provided on the number of cases (families) served, the number of recipients served and the dollar value of the payments provided summed by month and county starting January 2011 and updated monthly. A case is defined as a family group who receives FIP assistance together. A recipient is an individual on a FIP case.

This dataset provides applicant and project information for grants given by the NYS Department of State's Division of Local Government Services. The Division is responsible for assisting local officials in understanding and improving the local government financial health and promoting local government management based upon long-term planning and performance measurement. The program provides incentive funding directly to local governments to help reduce the cost of local services and increase service efficiencies.
