Garden Walk, Marin-Friendly, Residential Water Conservation

Marin Friendly Garden Walks performed by Master Gardeners on Marin County residential properties that are connected to the Marin Municipal Water District (MMWD). The specialized and free walks by the knowledgeable and trained Master Gardeners focus on the many ways a homeowner can save water through improved garden landscaping choices, and improved water irrigation and conservation practices. A written report is provided to each homeowner. The program is administered by the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE). It is funded by various entities including Marin County and MMWD. Data is updated quarterly and begins in 2008.

Next Generation Simulation (NGSIM) Vehicle Trajectories and Supporting Data

Researchers for the Next Generation Simulation (NGSIM) program collected detailed vehicle trajectory data on southbound US 101 and Lankershim Boulevard in Los Angeles, CA, eastbound I-80 in Emeryville, CA and Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia. Data was collected through a network of synchronized digital video cameras. NGVIDEO, a customized software application developed for the NGSIM program, transcribed the vehicle trajectory data from the video. This vehicle trajectory data provided the precise location of each vehicle within the study area every one-tenth of a second, resulting in detailed lane positions and locations relative to other vehicles. Austin's Small Scale Green Infrastructure

A rain garden is a low area that absorbs and filters rain water runoff that comes from roofs, sidewalks, and driveways. Rain runs off the hard surfaces, collects in the shallow depression, and slowly soaks into the soil. They are usually planted with colorful native plants and grasses. Every little bit helps to conserve water. Currently we are tracking rain garden bioswale, cistern, and green roofs.

California Small Business Covid-19 Relief Grant Program - Richmond Data

This dataset is publicly available on and was downloaded directly from CA GO-Biz at https://business.ca.gov/coronavirus-2019/. This data includes all California Small Business Covid-19 Relief Grant Program awardees as of 5-13-2021 that applied in Contra Costa County with the Business City as Richmond, Point Richmond, or Hilltop and various spellings of the three aforementioned names. This data has been cleaned to change the "Business City" for businesses who applied with "Point Richmond" or "Hilltop" or various misspellings to "Richmond".

Water Quality Protection Charges

The Water Quality Protection Charge (WQPC) is a line item on your property tax bill. WQPC funds many of the County's clean water initiatives including: • Restoration of eroded stream banks • Upgrades to stormwater ponds • Storm drain cleaning and maintenance • Stream monitoring • Litter control programs • Stormwater facility maintenance • Installation of rain barrels, rain gardens and green roofs The WQPC is calculated based on how much of your property is impervious (does not allow rain to be absorbed into the ground). As the county is developed, more area is covered in impervious concrete, asphalt, driveways, and buildings. Instead, that stormwater collects pollutants and runs off of the impervious surfaces causing damage to streams, rivers and the Chesapeake Bay. This is also known as stormwater pollution. The clean water initiatives funded by the WQPC remediate the environmental damage caused by stormwater pollution. Further, the WQPC funds programs that are needed to meet the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit from the state of Maryland. Update Frequency : Annually

2019 Volunteers Count Report - Neighborhoods

The annual NYC Volunteers Count report is the City’s largest scan of residents volunteering at organizations across New York City. Organizations, including City agencies, Mayoral offices, and nonprofits, are surveyed to understand how residents volunteer within the city’s infrastructure to strengthen communities at the neighborhood level. All participating organizations are recognized for their contributions in the annual NYC Volunteers Count report.
